It’s the journey, not the destination. So cliché but so true!
Patapsco Valley State Park is full of hidden treasures and for Allie & Corey’s engagement session, that’s what we set out to find. It hadn’t been long after snowstorm Jonas, so there was still plenty of snow on the trails, which made for an amazing wintery backdrop. And a great workout 😉
We hiked along the sunlit Patapsco River and found the most gorgeous pockets of light for portraits. I could tell right away how comfortable they are with each other and how they have this way of putting each other at ease. They weren’t afraid to talk to each other and laugh together, which was just perfect 🙂
They also regaled me with fun tales of how they met and how they want to go backpacking for their honeymoon! How awesome is that?! Their engagement session couldn’t be more perfect of a precursor!
Our original plan was to try and find these cool church ruins, and it was starting to feel like we wouldn’t actually find them. But, we pushed forward and eventually found some. They weren’t the ones we thought we would find, but we didn’t care. It was still amazing! Honestly, I was already more than happy with all that we had found before arriving at the final destination 🙂
Thank you Allie and Corey for such a fun adventure!!
